Adventure
Lost Tidewalker
★★★★★ 4.5
Lost Tidewalker is a slower, atmospheric adventure. You explore a half-drowned coastal town, solve environmental puzzles and piece together a story told mostly through objects and notes. It's less about winning and more about being somewhere.
Touch controls work well for the tap-to-move exploration, and the puzzles never resort to obtuse pixel-hunting. The art and sound do a lot of the heavy lifting, and we found ourselves lingering just to look around.
It's short, maybe five hours, and the pacing dips near the middle. But it respects your intelligence and doesn't pad itself with busywork, which we appreciated.
What we liked
- Gorgeous, moody atmosphere
- Fair, logical puzzles
- No filler or padding
